NIACINAMIDE 5.0 NIACINAMIDE 5.0 is an active serum formulated to help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and pigmentation, improve blemish-prone skin and combat the visible effects of photoaging. It also helps address dehydration caused by a compromised skin barrier, which may manifest as dryness, tightness and flaking. This makes the serum suitable for all skin types and helpful in addressing a wide range of specific skin concerns. A number of scientific studies have shown that niacinamide can be effective in the management of acne, with results comparable to some topical antibiotic treatments. Products containing 2–4% niacinamide have been compared with erythromycin and clindamycin, which are commonly prescribed for acne. Niacinamide can also help improve the appearance of melasma and hyperpigmentation by reducing the transfer of pigment to the upper layers of the skin.
